First let me say thanks for the video. I learned so much from your video. Im down south. It gets really hot here and sunny. Often it's over 90 degrees. Would you suggest watering daily or ever other day? I had also heard? that adding coffee grounds will be a good food for them.

@phoenix9ty You are welcome... I don't like to over water sunflowers, they? are a very hardy plant. RULE OF THUMB... any plant that has thorns or even the slight bit of roughness on their stalk or stem are hardier than the smooth stemmed plants. Coffee grounds do not add nutrients, but do act more like sand, then clay in your soil.

@MicMic18 Thank you, never shoo bees away, don't ever show anger or fear towards them and they will never bother you. Their main goal is to harvest as much pollen for their hive and are like horses with blinders. If you don't threaten them and? just go about your business, they won't bother you.

@Bdiddly1 Thank you so much, I am very fortunate my mini horse? and lots of composting have raised the nutrient level in my soil =) Sunflowers are a lot of fun and grow really fast. What a great idea to have your daughters grow some sunflowers, make sure they have a couple each, just in case one fails, we wouldn't want them to be discouraged gardeners... I have a few new videos I've posted recently that you may like...
